Central AZ College Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for EPO or EPO Buy-up Participants
The 2022 limit for Flexible Spending Accounts is $2850. Employees insured on the EPO or EPO Buy-up plan can elect to have an FSA. HDHP plan participants that do not qualify for an Health Savings Account may also have an FSA account. Employee contributions are pre-tax through payroll deduction. The full election will be available to spend on qualifying expenses such as medical, pharmacy, dental and vision expenses following the first payroll in July 2022. Central AZ College uses Health Equity for FSA administration. Any funds unused by the employee as of the end of the plan year are forfeited by the employee. You do have a 90 day grace period after June 30 of each plan year to submit expenses that were incurred during the plan year. Debit cards are optional. Visit www.healthequity.com and register for your member account to track transactions and upload substantiation. You can also use the mobile app by visiting the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.
Dependent Care Account (DCA) for EPO, EPO Buy-up, and HDHP Participants
Employees can use a DCA to pay for qualifying expenses such as daycare, summer day care, elder care, before and after school programs, and pre-school. The limit for 2022 is $5,000 per household or $2,500 if married and filing separately. Employee contributions are pre-tax through payroll deduction and are only available for reimbursement as contributions are received. For convenience, a recurring reimbursement can be set-up.
